A UNIQUE FEATURE of the WEILL offices is the collection of authentic antique travel posters amassed by Geoffrey Weill over the last thirty years.  Each recalls an era when travel was more leisured, more romantic, more adventurous, more idealized than it seems to be today.  And by working surrounded by this unique parade of esoteric, evocative images, every member of WEILL is daily reminded that travel should and can still be all these things.

For many WEILL clients, at least one antique poster in our office represents an image associated with its product that dates anywhere from 1920 to 1960.

Here is a selection.  Click on each to know details of the poster.

The wonderfully simple message of this art-deco-moderne image is of a "joyous and healthy" South Africa, ideal for the adventurous British traveler of the 1930's. It stresses "vacation," ignoring wildlife or any other aspect of the then-still-British Dominion.

Designed by A.E.Mason and printed by Hudson & Kearns of London, the poster urges travelers to seek "information from South Africa House, London WC2."
